NEWS: Eastern College welcomes Atlantica students

Saint John, New Brunswick – With news of the abrupt closure of Atlantica College in New Brunswick, Eastern College is taking action to help students impacted by the closure.

Working closely with the New Brunswick Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour, Eastern College will enable all students who were attending the college in Saint John to complete their education.

“We want to make sure that these students feel supported during this difficult time,” said Stuart Bentley, President of Eastern College. “We are pleased with the quick decisive action by the New Brunswick government to support these students, and we are going to do everything we can to provide the students the training they need to complete their programs and become successful graduates.”

Students from Atlantica College, along with their families, attended a meeting at Eastern College on Friday morning to find out details surrounding the transition. Additional financial support, if required, will be provided by the NB Training Completions Fund. The Fund is established with contributions from every private career college in the province to protect students so they can invest in their education with confidence.

Eastern College will open the doors to its Saint John Campus to all of the impacted students, and starting June 3rd, will work to deliver the education and support the students need to graduate.
